Staff profiles
Every staff member, owner, admin, or agent, has their own Profile page in the dashboard, where they set the name and avatar that show next to their replies on the portal.
Your profile
Section titled “Your profile”Open Profile in the sidebar, on the left side of the dashboard, at the bottom of the list of sections. It shows your avatar and name for the forum you’re currently in: they’re per forum, so switching forums switches what you see there. (The top-right menu is your account across every forum you staff, email and sign-out, not any one forum’s identity.) Staff also see their role next to their name in the portal’s account menu (top right of any portal page). From the Profile page you can set:
- Display name: shown on your dashboard and next to your replies on the portal.
- Avatar: upload a PNG, JPEG, or WEBP image, up to 2 MB. Once one is set, Replace swaps it for another and Remove clears it. With no avatar, your initials show instead.
This page is yours alone: every staff role can reach it and edit their own name and avatar, whatever they’re otherwise allowed to do elsewhere in the dashboard.
How staff replies show up on the portal
Section titled “How staff replies show up on the portal”When an owner, admin, or agent replies to a question, the portal labels the reply with that person’s role (Owner, Admin, or Agent) next to their name, so customers can tell they’re hearing from your team. A Finance teammate has no staff standing on the portal, so a reply they post in their official capacity instead shows the generic “{forum name} Team” label, the same fallback used for staff-authored content whose original author has since left the team.
